Kathleen M. 威林 (she/her/hers) is a mission-driven leader with demonstrated excellence and expertise within the education, 艺术, professional association, 非营利组织, and corporate sectors. As an innovative and powerful force in program development, executive leadership, and strategic partnerships, she excels at building valuable relationships, prudently managing finances, and developing future leaders to empower long-term organizational success. Her areas of expertise include executive transitions, partnership development, program management, communication strategies, and organizational change management.

Prior to joining ACG, 威林 spent a decade at EF Education First working with schools and districts across the United States to enhance and build domestic and international educational travel programs for students and the adults who guide them. Engaging worldwide with cultural institutions, educational partners, and community leaders, her efforts resulted in the re-envisioning of programs, operations, and delivery of content.

While previously working with the National Association for Music Education and Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, 威林 led constituent relations and outreach, as well as spearheaded crucial programs that created strategic alliances and partnerships to influence education policy and practice. She coached and trained volunteer leaders across the United States in the areas of advocacy, strategic planning, program expansion, membership growth, communications, and business management. She also implemented national standards for 艺术 education and The National Coalition for Music Education in partnership with National Association of Music Merchants and The Recording Academy. As a keynote speaker, workshop leader, and facilitator, 威林 has envisioned and produced hundreds of large-scale concerts, conferences, and summits around the world.

“Arts and cultural organizations sit at the very heart of countless communities. Through the transformative power of the 艺术 and creative expression, we turn to those organizations to celebrate, 荣誉, 还记得, and give voice to the successes and struggles in our world. As these organizations look to their future, brave and innovative leaders are critical to their success.”

“From classrooms to concert halls to boardrooms, I have found the greatest success and satisfaction working with stakeholders at all levels to understand their needs and co-create solutions to move their organization forward.”

As an educator who believes deeply in the essential and transformational power of the 艺术, 威林 has taught vocal and general music in K-12 schools and served as Director of Music Education Outreach and Adjunct Professor at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, where she nurtured future educators and led professional development for practicing educators. She currently serves on the board of trustees for the Grammy-nominated Washington National Cathedral Choral Society and has been a singing member of the group for nearly three decades. During the pandemic, she orchestrated the COVID-19 Reopening Task Force plans to navigate a safe return to rehearsals and performances. In addition, she co-chairs the Diversity, 股本, and Inclusion team, helping implement a new strategic plan that seeks a more equitable and connected worldwide community—through music. 威林 earned a bachelor of music in education from the University of Northern Colorado and a master of music in choral music from Arizona State University.
